I had a really fun time creating a “gift with purchase” for the first five people who signed up for the Monthly Marketing Bundle promotion that ends on the 15th. I was about ready to seal up the gift with purchase project and get them in the mail but I ended up having to leave for a client and didn’t get them finished.
I guess that was meant to be because on the way home I stopped at a bookstore to pick up a book by Dani Shapiro. When I headed to the checkout counter I looked down and there it was: a great idea staring up at me. I had to follow through and add this to the gift pack!
What was in the gift pack?
The gift pack I created was a selection of materials I’ve used with my clients to show them I’m thinking about them and appreciating them. These are physical things like cards, postcards, goody bags, tip sheets, etc.
So what did I see at Copperfield’s Bookstore? I saw these small binders that were marked down. They’d be perfect for a What I Wore journal, a place where people could document their their outfits. They could describe the outfit, say where they wore it, and add any notes afterwards to improve the outfit for the next time they wear it.
Creating the What I Wore Journal
The notepad was a perfect size. I wanted to make it more personal so I got out my labeler and created labels for the journals.
I peeled off the backs of the labels and attached them to the cover of the notebook.
All that was left was to throw away the trash!
Could this have been more simple? I doubt it!
Can you imagine a use for this in your image consulting business? They could be raffles at your next presentation. They could be part of a styling workshop; a chance for the students to go home and practice what you taught them. Maybe you’re clients would like one! Maybe you would!!
Remember, showing your clients that you appreciate them can be very simple, easy, and inexpensive.
